Simon Bolivar

Simon Bloivar was one of South America's greatest army leader His victories over the Spaniards won independence for Bolivia, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. Simon was born in July 24, 1783, at Caracas, Venezuela. South America named Bolivia after Bolivar because he did such great things for South America.People in South America Trusted him and decided that would be a good way to repay him for freeing them and giving them their independence.
