Film Lesson: "Mountains of the Moon"

In the movie the europeans had faced many obstacles in finding the main source in the nile river, which were moskitos that carried malaria, african tribes that tortured and killed people, and lions. It is strange to most why the source of the Nile River is named after a british queen. The reason why I think this river was named Lake victoria was because one of the two men from europe just came up with the name.
One technological advantage the europeans had over the africans was their weaponry. The africans had spears and the europeans had guns. Obviously guns are more sufficient than guns.

the Meiji Restoration of Japan.

The Tokugawa Shogunjate was a kingdom built for war that crumbled after 200 years of peace. In 1853 U.S. Commodor Matthew Perry brought 4 ships to the bay near Yedo. These Japanese people were astounded by the ships. The Americans wanted resupplies in order to trade with China. If the Japanese failed to meet their demands they would attack Japan who was obviously behind in the technological world. After a revolution in Japan a 16 year old boy who was renamed Meiji became the new emporer of Japan. Japan started to adapt western ways and customs. They also adapted their technology. This is all what happen in the Meiji Restoration of Japan.

Karl Marx and Communism

Karl marx wanted communism to take over the world. Why he wanted it to take over the world was because Communism was the inevitable end to the process of evolution begun with feudalism and passing through capitalism and socialism. The good guys that he was talking about were the workers around the world. He was telling them to unite.Marx held that history was a series of class struggles between owners of capital and workers. He had thought this because As wealth became more concentrated in the hands of a few capitalists, he thought, the ranks of an increasingly dissatisfied proletariat would swell, leading to bloody revolution and eventually a classless society. Communism karl marx wanted the workers to have a better easy and a little more rich life he didnt want the workers to work all the time and and not make that much money. he wanted them to work but not alot he wanted them to work according to thier capacity and they should get payed what they deserved and not be underpayed workers.thats how communism came it was basicly for workers that workers should get what they deserve. according to him the workers were the good people and the industry's and the factory owners were the villen and he said that because they never did anything much and they kept on goin rich and the workers who did all the work th remained poor or in the middle class.

Karl Marx and the Industrial Revolution

Karl Marx was a german who tought the european people were being treated unfair in the european factories . He believed that the factories were very dangerous for them .Marx expected that once the proletariat had taken control of all capitalist property, wealth would flow more abundantly for the benefit of all. Then in the "higher phase of communist society," individuals would finally be free to develop their abilities and talents to the fullest. Karl Marx felt that the Industrial Revolution would have workers control the government. Marx did not believe in god and thought workers were controlled by religion. Karl Marx did not like the Industrial Revolution because he believed that workers should control the factories and farms other than the landlords.
